2017 GMC Terrain Redesign
A mild facelift and minor changes are presented by General Motors in 2017 GMC Terrain. They would like to prepare this new generation that could be released at the end of 2016 or at the beginning of 2017. This car will get complete redesign with many improvements to offer.
Basically, 2017 GMC Terrain will be built with the similar treatment as its brother, Chevrolet Equinox. Its introduction was started at 2009 New York International Auto Show and it was presented for 2010 model to replace the Pontiac Torrent. Since that time, the car got smaller adjustments for MY 2013 and MY 2016. Right now, it is ready to be announced as the second generation with some changes available.
2017 GMC Terrain Changes and Redesign
New GMC Terrain 2017 will be done with several improvements. As far as we know that the 2016 model is planned to get new front and rear fascias, LED daytime running lights, new wheels, new grille, new gear selector and others. This mid-size crossover SUV is also offered with minor improvements for its cabin design. It is expected that the company will keep its excellent sales record.
It is quite promising to find out nice touch that the redesign and improvement of 2017 GMC Terrain will not go too far from the new Chevrolet Equinox. It happens because the use of compact D2XX platform to reduce the weight. It is not surprising that the fuel consumption could be more efficient than the previous model. With the possible changes and redesign around the platform, the company would not change the concept of five-seat layout in this SUV.
2017 GMC Terrain Specs
For the current model, it is designed with 3.6 liter High Feature LFX V6 engine with the capability to offer the amount of output for about 301 horsepower and also 272 lb-ft of torque. This engine output is transmitted to the front wheels with the optional AWD for 2017 GMC Terrain.
2017 GMC Terrain Price and Release Date
2017 Terrain perhaps will be offered with the price tag that not too far from the current starting price which is around $27,335 while the top trim is about $38,000 for Denali. Although there is no announcement yet given by the official for its possible supply drivetrain, the new platform is expected to offer better fuel consumption than the previous model. The new engine option could be presented but the price tag will be more expensive.
